The studio behind “The Witcher” series of games rolls out baramundi Management Suite to provide developers with the best possible working environment

LONDON, 31st January 2019 – Today, the baramundi software AG – leading provider of unified endpoint management solutions – announced it has partnered with CD PROJEKT RED – the video game developer and publisher known for its award-winning game series “The Witcher”, to manage its IT landscape for more efficient maintenance and development. The cooperation will allow the game studio to achieve the mission-critical consistency needed to develop software seamlessly across its worldwide locations.

CD PROJEKT RED develops titles for personal computers and video game consoles, and is world-renowned for its breath-taking graphics, outstanding storytelling and great attention to detail. The studio employs 650 industry professionals worldwide and employs more than a thousand IT endpoints across Poland, USA, China and Korea. Faced with a heterogeneous IT working environment and the need to run the exact same version of software to ensure a smooth production process, the company relies on the baramundi Management Suite in order to maintain its competitive edge.

In addition to automating mission-critical routine tasks on a large scale, baramundi Management Suite will enable scheduled OS migrations and the capability to handle mass-updates from one central location. The solution will also bring the necessary consistency across IT applications, enabling development teams to work with the latest version at the same time. Additionally, baramundi Management Suite will enable the rapid detection of security vulnerabilities and provide the fastest remediation through automated patching.

“We are excited to be the driving force powering IT automation for one of the world’s leading gaming development studios and delivering efficiencies across many locations across Europe, America and Asia” explains Sean Herbert, UK Country Manager at baramundi. “As IT infrastructures grow in complexity and businesses expand across borders, it is imperative for businesses to rely on automation in order to ensure the highest level of security and compliance. We look forward to working with CD PROJEKT RED going forward and provide the most stable IT environment”.
