Hampshire, 4th April 2019 – Job seekers in the IT sector will be delighted to know that the sector’s job market is continuing to flourish this spring, with positive growth witnessed in the weeks leading up to Britain’s supposed Brexit. In fact, according to the latest job market statistics from CV-Library, salaries for new IT jobs increased by 2.4% year-on-year and job vacancies were up by an impressive 11.8%.
The findings, which analysed job market performance in March and compared the results with the previous year, also show that candidates have certainly been making the most of the jobs boom, with applications to new IT jobs increasing for the fifteenth month in a row, by 15.9%.
Lee Biggins, founder and CEO of CV-Library, comments: “These latest findings are truly a testament to the resilience of the UK job market. In response to uncertainty surrounding the outcome of Brexit, employers across the IT industry have increased their hiring efforts by pushing up salaries and job seekers have been listening. There’s no sign of this trend stopping, so if you’re looking to increase your earnings, there’s plenty of opportunity to do so.
“It’s important to consider that as well as salaries, job vacancies have soared in the IT sector. If you’ve been considering looking for a new job, I’d recommend starting your search now. The IT industry has a lot to offer and you’ve got a great chance of finding an exciting opportunity this spring!”
