Using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Element 84 combines public datasets from multiple agencies and countries with commercial data. Researchers and developers access and analyze the data to gather new insights on climate change, disaster response, and education. Element 84 is based in Alexandria, Virginia, and it builds high performance systems for corporate and government clients around the world. In the AWS Cloud, the datasets are publicly available and are co-located with other products – such as AWS Lambda, Amazon DynamoDB, and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud – to process data at scale.
