According to Philip Hicks, managing partner of Kredo Consulting, “this flagship contract win is front and centre of where we see the consultancy partnering with players in highly disruptive sectors, changing the game, day to day.”

Hicks promotes the importance of the account thanks to its unique position in an industry that is undergoing massive revolution, at pace. TRL undertakes research into the safety and feasibility of future transport solutions, providing the crucial evidence to assist the development of the policies, technologies and applications in a global connected and autonomous vehicles market expected to be worth £51 billion by 2020.

TRL boasts a prestigious client list including Department for Transport, Highways England, Transport for London, Bosch, Direct Line, Jaguar Landrover and BP. A fundamental feature of its work is its leadership of and collaboration in many innovation programmes not just in the UK but in Europe, India, and Africa.

TRL’s Head of Marketing, Penny While explains: “TRL is continually seeking to innovate, evaluate and help to safely deploy new mobility solutions that can improve society. Our message is vitally important, and we need to partner with specialists who understand our ethos and what drives our business model. Kredo helps us prepare and position often complex messages in a format that the media engage with and our target influencers absorb.”

Kredo Consulting fields a team comprising partners Philip Hicks, Andy Parker and Steve Thomas and consultants Oliver Somervell and Bethan Godley, reporting to While, who added: “We are a science-based research and consulting organisation and our partners must be able to be proactive, yet understand the policies and procedures that govern an evidence-based methodology. Kredo Consulting has proved it is able to deftly juggle the often-competing tensions of client confidentiality and media interest.”

Philip Hicks, managing partner of Kredo Consulting said: “This coveted account epitomises our focus as a strategic consultancy offering communications solutions for clients in highly disruptive markets in an increasingly connected world. The changes sweeping across transport from autonomous and connected vehicles to behavioural studies and ethics, spells out one of our most challenging and exciting client assignments. We are thrilled to have won this prestigious contract and have already made a positive impact in TRL’s target sectors.”
